To become a Certified Green Restaurant, The Red Lentil was evaluated in six environmental categories: Energy, Water, Waste, Food, Packaging, and Chemicals. We are 100% Styrofoam-free and have reduced waste by 50% just through recycling.
We’ve reduced pollution by using three Energy Star qualified appliances and occupancy sensors for lights. We save hundreds of gallons of water with faucet aerators and pre-rinse sprayers. We also do not use chemical sanitizer in the dishwasher.
